New York City - Lady Liberty - Awesome!!!
I chaperoned Guy's 8Th grade graduation trip yesterday. We started with a 2 hour lunch cruise around Manhattan - we sailed the coasts of NY & NJ, sailed under The Brooklyn & Manhattan Bridges & right past The Statue of Liberty - a breath taking sight. I traveled to it about 30 years ago & actually climbed to Her crown - seeing it from this perspective was awesome!

Another Trip To My Garden...Planted Junk
I Love to re purpose things to use as garden accents
I had a bike exactly like this when I was a young girl.

Old license plates spelled out my favorite things to plant.

A dolls highchair holds a potful of Coleus.

I fell in love with these adorable rain boots at a thrift shop I visited I
immediately knew what I was going to do with them!

An old shoe -perfect for any plant.

Pole Dancing Bear...Get Down On It!!!!
This bear dances better than my husband! Shhhhh don't tell him I am putting this out in public - but he has always danced (secretly in the house) to this song, and it has become a family joke how awful he dances to it (personally I think he purposely shimmies extra bad to be funny - little Guy loves it) - so when I saw this video I had to share & laugh! I laugh whenever I think of DS shaking his butt & this dumb ole' bear shaking his better!

Welcome to My Garden
Love this flag - I won it on e-bay!

I have been nursing this tree for four springs - worth the wait!
This is my only surviving alluim.

I am not sure of the name of this plant - it comes up hardy
& healthy each year in my rock garden & it has multiplied into
three plants - they stay like this until mid July/early August.

These hens & chicks just keep growing bigger & bigger each year & really multiply!

I found this nest on my deck the morning after a big rainstorm - I did not see any eggs or baby birds around - so I am hoping that the family has already left or mom & dad left the nest to find other quarters for their brood.

And I thought I was so Special Because I Could Double Dutch!
I know how hard it was to learn how to double dutch way back when in the streets of Brooklyn (can you imagine ME jumping rope today - never mind double dutching!). I also love the Cadette reactions - awesome!
